MODBUS Protocol Sample Clauses
MODBUS Protocol. MODBUS protocol is a two–way serial data link used as an interface between a GE SPEEDTRONIC ▇▇▇▇ V turbine control system and a customer’s Distributed Control System (DCS). MODBUS protocol offers a high degree of flexibility to the end–user. A standard list of points used to communicate with the Distributed Control System (DCS) is entered at the factory. An operator or GE field engineer can modify this list of points at any time. The different points can be installed quickly on any unit – typically, in fifteen minutes or less.
