Common use of Minute Clarification Clause in Contracts

Minute Clarification. The parties agree that requests for leaves of two (2) days or less shall continue to be made through the employee’s immediate or appropriate supervisor without the involvement of the Employee Relations Department. The District further agrees to continue its practice of notifying the Union on approved leaves of absence in excess of thirty (30) days. The District also agrees that in the event it considers a request for extension of a leave of absence beyond a six (6) month period, it shall advise the Union prior to approving such leave. However, the District is not precluded from approving such extended leave in the event the Union objects.
