Minimum Day Clause Samples
The Minimum Day clause establishes the shortest allowable duration for a workday or service period under a contract. Typically, it sets a baseline number of hours that must be worked or billed before additional compensation or overtime applies, regardless of whether the full day is utilized. For example, if the minimum day is set at four hours, a contractor called in for only two hours of work would still be entitled to payment for four hours. This clause ensures predictability and fairness in compensation, protecting service providers from being underpaid for short assignments and helping clients understand their minimum financial commitment.
