Minimum Daily Pay - Section. 34 (1) Subject to subsection (2), an employer shall pay an employee reporting for work as required by the employer his regular wage for the entire period spent at the place of work, with a minimum in any one day of: (a) Two hours' pay unless the employee is unfit to perform his duties or he has failed to comply with the Industrial Health and Safety Regulations of the Workers' Compensation Board; or (b) Where the employee commences work, four hours' pay unless his work is suspended because of inclement weather or other reasons completely beyond the control of the employer, in which case paragraph (a) applies. (2) An employer shall pay a school student reporting for work on his school day as required by the employer his regular wage for the entire period spent at the place of work, with a minimum in any one day of two hours' pay, whether or not he commences work.
