Common use of Meal Clause in Contracts

Meal. In the event an employee is required to work more than two (2) hours overtime following a regular shift, and for each additional five (5) hours of overtime, he/she shall be reimbursed $10.50 for a meal by the CITY and given a reasonable amount of time to eat. The employee will not be paid for any time utilized to eat. Reimbursements will be included in the employee’s biweekly payroll check.
