Common use of Meal Clause in Contracts

Meal. When an employee is to and does work for three (3) or more hours of overtime after his normal shift he shall be with a hot meal or five dollars ($5.00) if the Hospital is unable to provide the meal or has been unable to schedule a break during the period. Notwithstanding the foregoing, where the overtime assignment i s for a period of three (3) hours, no more or less, the employee is not required to take a hot meal, if available, and may claim the five dollars ($5.00) payment.
