Material Specification. All materials used must conform with the requirement of Sub- section 2 (Standards and Codes of Practice) and details of the materials proposed for all important plant items shall be submitted to the Engineer at the design stage and prior to manufacture. Sodium hypochlorite delivered under the agreement shall meet the following containment concentration limits: • Iron <0.5 mg/L • Copper <0.05 mg/L • Nickel <0.05 mg/L • Chlorate <3,000 mg/L The suspended solids in the sodium hypochlorite delivered under the agreement shall be minimized and the shipments delivered shall achieve a filtration time of less than three minutes for 1000 when applying the “Suspended Solids Quality Test for Bleach Using the Vacuum Filtration” Method developed by Novatek and referenced under the Sampling and Testing Prior to Unloading detailed in this Section.
