Common use of MASTER MECHANIC Clause in Contracts

MASTER MECHANIC. To become a Master Mechanic, the applicant/employee would have to pass an additional seven (7) ASE certification tests designated by the Authority. The Authority will increase the base rate of pay ten cents ($.10) for each of the ASE certification tests successfully completed. The Authority will increase the base rate of pay an additional fifty cents ($.50) for those employees who successfully complete all seven (7) ASE certification tests for a total of one dollar and twenty cents ($1.20). It is the responsibility of employees to obtain and maintain the certifications in order to receive the additional compensation. The Authority will reimburse each employee the cost of taking andpassingeachoftheStateofMichiganorASEcertificationtests by providing the Authority written documentation that he has passed the test.
