Lockout is called when there is a threat or hazard outside of the school. • Lockdown – Locks, Lights, Out of Sight. Lockdown is called when there is a threat of hazard inside the school building. • Evacuate – T o a L o c ati o n . Evacuate is called when there is a need to move students from one location to another. • Shelter - for Hazardusing Method.Shelter is called when the need for personal protection is necessary, including spontaneous events such as tornado, earthquake, or hazmat. • Hold – In Your Classroom.
