Local Vendor Preference. The Local Vendor Preference policy shall only be applied to projects of one-hundred thousand dollars ($100,000) or less and only when the lowest local qualified bidder is within 10% or $10,000, whichever is less of the lowest non-local bidders.

Local Vendor Preference. Napa County has a local vendor preference that covers the acquisition of requested services. Local vendors will be awarded contracts for services where qualifications are determined by the reviewing panel to be otherwise equal, unless such preference is not allowable by law. For this matter, a local vendor is a vendor who has a billing address located within Napa County. Where appropriate, out of county vendors are encouraged to subcontract with qualified local vendors.
Local Vendor Preference. A copy of City’s Local Preference Policy, Ordinance No. 5912 dated January 3, 2022 is attached. A Local Business shall be defined as a vendor, supplier or contractor that: (i) conducts business within the jurisdictional limits of Lakeland Electric’s service territory by providing goods, services or construction; (ii) maintains a physical business location within the jurisdictional limits of Lakeland Electric’s service territory in an area legally zoned for conducting such business; (iii) conducts business on a daily basis from the local business location; (iv) has conducted business from such location for at least twelve (12) consecutive months prior to the due date for the applicable bid or proposal; and (v) provides a copy of its local business tax receipt, if located within the City of Lakeland, or a copy of its Polk County local business tax receipt, if located outside of the City limits but within Lakeland Electric’s service territory.
Local Vendor Preference. If claiming Local Vendor Preference, a valid Local Business Tax Receipt must be provided at the time the response is submitted in order to qualify for such consideration.

  • RECIPROCAL PREFERENCE In the event the lowest responsive and responsible bid submitted in response to any Invitation for Bids is by a bidder whose principal place of business is in a county other than Orange County, and such county grants a bid preference for purchases to a bidder whose principal place of business is in such county, then Orange County may award a preference to the (next) lowest responsive and responsible bidder having a principal place of business within Orange County, Florida. Such preference will be equal to the preference granted by the county in which the lowest responsive and responsible bidder has its principal place of business except as provided below. Effective July 1, 2015 the reciprocal local preference will not apply to construction services in which 50 percent or more of the cost will be paid from state-appropriated funds which have been appropriated at the time of the competitive solicitation. If the solicitation involves a federally funded project where the funding source requirements prohibit the use of state and/or local preferences, the reciprocal local preference will not be applied.
