Local Preference Program Liasons. Each of Tenant and Landlord shall designate an individual as its local preference liaison officer. The designated officers shall work together to monitor and facilitate compliance, and shall be responsible for developing, implementing and monitoring the local preference initiative. The designated officers shall (a) gather and report statistical data and other information as required to analyze the program’s progress, (b) work with the City of North Miami CRA to assist Local Preference Group members to secure needed permits and certifications, (c) promote awareness of local businesses of procurement opportunities, (d) develop policies and procedures related to Tenant’s local preference initiative, (e) identify new and innovative methods to achieve the local preference program goals, (f) advise the City Manager and Tenant on matters impacting the local preference program, (g) provide the Local Preference Group with information and assistance on preparing bids, obtaining bonding and insurance, (h) assist the Local Preference Group to obtain training, (i) provide outreach to the Local Preference Group through business and community organizations to advise them of contracting opportunities, and (j) facilitate access for the Local Preference Group to current information on relevant regulations and laws.
