Limitations to Entitlements. An employee will be considered to be accruing vacation entitlement during periods of work and vacation, bereavement leave, jury duty leave, maternity and parental leave, medical leave, family responsibility leave, compassionate care leave, union leave and personal leave under fourteen (14) days but will not include time not worked due to layoff, personal leave in excess of fourteen (14) days or any other absence from work. Where an employee is on lay-off such time shall not be deducted from length of service in the calculation of years of service under column (1) of Article G10.
