Common use of Limitation on Tenant’s Recourse Clause in Contracts

Limitation on Tenant’s Recourse. If Landlord is a corporation, trust, partnership, joint venture, unincorporated association, or other form of business entity, Tenant agrees that (i) the obligations of Landlord under this Lease shall not constitute personal obligations of the officers, directors, trustees, partners, joint venturers, members, owners, stockholders, or other principals of such business entity and (ii) Tenant shall have recourse only to Landlord’s then equity interest, if any, in the Property for the satisfaction of such obligations and not against the assets of such officers, directors, trustees, partners, joint venturers, members, owners, stockholders or principals (other than to the extent of their interest in the Property). Tenant shall look exclusively to such equity interest of Landlord, if any, in the Property for payment and discharge of any obligations imposed upon Landlord hereunder, and Landlord is hereby released and relieved of any other obligations hereunder.
