Licensor Control Over Litigation Sample Clauses
The "Licensor Control Over Litigation" clause grants the licensor the authority to direct and manage any legal actions related to the licensed intellectual property, such as enforcing rights against infringers or defending against third-party claims. Typically, this means the licensor decides whether to initiate lawsuits, select legal counsel, and determine settlement terms, while the licensee may be required to cooperate or provide information. This clause ensures that the licensor maintains control over the protection and defense of their intellectual property, preventing inconsistent or unauthorized legal actions by the licensee and safeguarding the licensor's interests.
