Legacy Content Clause Samples
The Legacy Content clause defines how pre-existing materials or intellectual property, created prior to the current agreement, are treated within the context of the contract. Typically, this clause clarifies that such content remains the property of the original owner and is not transferred or assigned as part of the new agreement, even if it is incorporated into new deliverables. By specifying the status and permitted use of legacy materials, this clause helps prevent disputes over ownership and ensures that both parties understand the boundaries regarding pre-existing content.
