Common use of Lecture, Laboratory, Practicum and Tutorial Assignments Clause in Contracts

Lecture, Laboratory, Practicum and Tutorial Assignments. (1) Full-time faculty members who instruct lecture, laboratory, practicum and tutorial courses will be assigned 30-32 LHE per academic year. The normal load for full-time faculty shall be thirty (30) LHE per year, normally assigned as fifteen (15) LHE per semester. If load is over 30 LHE, LHE in excess of 30, but not to exceed 32, will be paid from the appropriate academic salary schedule (see Appendix A). The final adjustment payment will be paid on the last working day of April to allow for adjustments from the fall and spring loads. LHE in excess of 30, but not exceeding 32, which are part of a faculty member’s normal load will not be considered overload, and will not limit overload as allowed in this Agreement.
