Lean Project Delivery Sample Clauses
The Lean Project Delivery clause establishes a framework for managing construction or development projects using lean principles, which focus on maximizing value and minimizing waste throughout the project lifecycle. This clause typically requires all parties to collaborate closely, use transparent scheduling and resource management tools, and continuously seek process improvements. By implementing these practices, the clause aims to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve project outcomes, ultimately addressing common issues such as delays, miscommunication, and resource inefficiencies in traditional project delivery methods.
Lean Project Delivery. Design Build Entity shall design the Project utilizing Lean Project Delivery Methods, including, without limitation, the Target Value Design approach, to ensure the Project design is consistent with the Performance Criteria Documents and does not exceed the Target GMP.
Lean Project Delivery. The IPD Team shall implement the principles of Lean Project Delivery. The Parties acknowledge that fundamental to the success of Lean Project Delivery is the willingness and ability of all IPD Team Members to make and secure reliable promises as the basis for planning and executing the Project. Accordingly, the IPD Team Members shall ensure that the following elements are present for all promises:
1.2.1 the conditions of satisfaction are clear to all parties;
1.2.2 the promissor is competent to perform the promised actions, or has access to the competence to perform such actions, and has the wherewithal (materials, tools, equipment, instructions) to perform the promised actions;
1.2.3 the promissor has estimated the time to perform the task and has internally allocated adequate resources and has blocked the time on its internal schedule;
1.2.4 the promissor is sincere in the moment that the promise is made, only making the promise if it believes that the promise reasonably can be fulfilled; and
1.2.5 the promissor is prepared to accept the legal and reasonable consequences that may ensue if the promise cannot be performed as promised and will promptly advise the Core Group if confidence is lost that the task can be performed as promised.

1. collaboration among all members of the Project Team;
2. planning and managing the Project as a network of commitments across organizational boundaries;
3. optimizing the Project as a whole, rather than any particular piece; and
4. promoting continuous improvement throughout the life of the Project. The Authority intends that the Project Team, to the maximum extent possible, utilize Lean Project Delivery to facilitate design and construction of the Project. Specific Lean Tools available to the Project Team in support of Lean Project Delivery are set forth in this Exhibit.
