Lay-Off Defined. Lay-Off" means a temporary or permanent severance of employment — other than Discharge — due to a shortage of work, including Holiday, Hiatus, Hiatus or scheduled termination. It is understood that a lay-off automatically occurs at the end of a defined call as follows: (a) An end date is specified on an Employee’s Deal Memorandum; (b) At the end of the shift of a Daily Call; (c) At the wrap of production, or general payroll defaultunless an Employee is specifically requested to remain employed beyond such date.
