Laborers. Persons employed as Laborers except those employed in the Countryside Care Center will be paid in accordance with the hourly schedule contained in Appendix A.
Laborers. All workmen, subcontractors, laborers or any person working on the Project shall only have contractual privity with the Contractor and not the Owner, and the Owner understands and agrees that the Owner shall have no right of control over any such workmen, subcontractors or laborers. All purchases made by the Owner must be coordinated through the Contractor. The Contractor shall not be held responsible or liable for the actions or omissions of any of the contractors contracted by the Owner, prior Prime contractors or others to perform the work or provide construction or design services prior to the date hereof, and any damage to persons or property caused or resulting thereby, whether actual or latent and whether discovered prior to the completion of the work or in the future.

Laborers. Each list shall start with the most senior employee and shall be reset on the first of each year. Employees shall not work overtime in any class other than the list, which they are on; unless all other employees of that class were offered the overtime and they passed or were otherwise unavailable.
Laborers. Laborers are those employees who at the time of full-time hire do not possess a Class B commercial driver’s license as defined by Ohio Law or if they do possess a Class B license, are hired as a Laborer. Laborers may perform any task that does not require the possession of a Class B commercial driver’s license pursuant to Ohio Law. Employees in this class who possess or later obtain a Class B commercial driver’s license do not automatically advance to the CDL-qualified class of employees. In order to advance to the next class, a vacancy, as defined by Management, must exist. Such Laborer employee will have preference to advance to the next class over an applicant outside of the Bargaining Unit. Such employee advancing to the next class shall be paid a probationary rate of pay equal to the rate of pay of such employee in effect immediately preceding such advancement. Thereafter, such employee shall be paid at a rate of pay equal to the greater of the pay of such employee just prior to advancement or the scheduled rate of pay on the applicable schedule for such new classification.

As Sewer Authority job specifications are reviewed by the Buffalo Civil Service Administration, the Authority will recommend that laborers with two (2) years of service with the Authority, who are otherwise qualified, be permitted to take tests for entry level positions such as Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator I, Maintenance Assistant (Sewer Cleaning), Truck Driver and Millwright Helper on a promotional basis.
