Knuckles. The number of knuckles in tl)e hinges of different sizes shall be as per IS 1341. The size of knuckles shall be straight and at right angle to the flap. The movement of the hinges shall be free and easy and working shall not have any play or shake. Screw Holes : The screw holes shall be clean and counter sunk. These shall be suitable for counter sunk head wood screws and of the specified size for different types, and sizes of hinges. The size of the holes shall be such that when it is counter sunk it shall be able to accommodate the full depth of counter sunk head of the wood screws. The nos. of screw holes shall as specified in IS 1341.
