June 30, 2012. The commencement of the STXEEMP MP update was still on hold during this period. By the end of June, offers and negotiations were being made with a still uncertain start date. After recent consultations with partners, it was felt that completing a draft updated management plan should commence, with the aim to complete a draft by December, 2012 regardless of whether the Coordinator was hired by then. TNC also continued to provide resources and participate in other STXEEMP management implementation activities, such as monitoring efforts, buoys maintenance, assisting with early implementation activities of the watershed management plan, bayside signage, and other education and outreach for the park. Management progress made for STEER during this period was entirely supported by the NOAA CRCP award “St. ▇▇▇▇▇▇ East End Reserves: Implementation of Management Plan Early Action Steps.” ▇▇▇▇ ▇▇▇▇▇ took over all coordination, organization and outreach needs for the MPA.
