ITOPF Clause Clause Samples

The ITOPF Clause establishes the involvement or reference to the International Tanker Owners Pollution Federation (ITOPF) in the context of a contract, typically relating to marine pollution incidents. This clause may specify that ITOPF’s expertise, advice, or assessment will be used to determine the nature, extent, or response to pollution damage, such as oil spills from tankers. By incorporating ITOPF’s recognized authority and technical knowledge, the clause ensures that pollution-related issues are handled according to industry standards, thereby promoting effective response and fair resolution of claims.
