ISPS Code compliance Sample Clauses

The ISPS Code compliance clause requires parties involved in maritime operations to adhere to the International Ship and Port Facility Security (ISPS) Code, which sets security standards for ships and port facilities. This clause typically obligates shipowners, charterers, and port operators to ensure that their vessels and facilities meet the necessary security measures, such as maintaining valid certificates and following prescribed security protocols. By including this clause, contracts help prevent security breaches and ensure that all parties are aligned with international maritime security regulations, thereby reducing risks related to terrorism and unlawful acts.
