Common use of Involuntary Resignation Clause in Contracts

Involuntary Resignation. Absence for five (5) consecutive working days without notifying the employer shall be deemed a "quit" by the employee. Exceptions may be made by the employer. Such unexcused absence shall cause forfeiture of pay and benefits for the same time period. After such absence, the employer will send to the employee's last known address, written notification that his/her employment has been terminated.
