Interview and selection process for tenured sixth grade teachers. Between (insert dates) tenured sixth grade teachers assigned to the affected elementary schools who have indicated a preference to move to a middle/high school position will be given the opportunity to apply and interview for positions at the middle/high school(s) of their choice that is adding sixth graders.
Interview and selection process. 9 a. In accordance with the procedures established in the District Hiring Policies, 10 the Selection Committee will be impaneled to review all tenured and 11 probationary faculty members' applications, conduct interviews with all 12 candidates and make a recommendation as to whether or not to accept any of the 13 applicants to fill the position. A candidate is selected by another ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ 14 College; he/she will be permitted to make the transfer. Unusual circumstances 15 may require a delay until a suitable replacement is found.
16 b. If the Selection Committee recommends an applicant for a voluntary transfer, 17 the College President may choose the candidate or begin the public 18 advertisement process. If the President does not accept a recommended 19 candidate he/she will provide a reason to the faculty member. Disputes over non- 20 selection of a recommended candidate are not subject to the grievance procedure 21 set for this in this Agreement.
22 c. If the committee decides not to recommend any candidates for the position, the 23 vacancy will be publicly announced and the District Hiring process will 24 commence.
25 d. During the period a position is announced publicly, faculty members may 26 continue to apply for a position vacancy, without prejudice, if they desire.
27 e. The decision of the selection committee shall not be grievable.
