Internal Posting. An Elected Official/Department Director may post notice of job vacancy internal to the Courthouse for County employees only, instead of, or prior to, outside posting to the general public. Such notice shall be posted a minimum of five (5) working days before filling the job vacancy.

Whenever the Employer determines a job vacancy exists in the bargaining unit which needs to be filled, a notice of such opening shall be posted on the bulletin board(s) for seven (7) working days. During this period, anyone wishing to apply for the open position shall do so by signing and dating the posting for that vacancy. In the event a posting occurs during winter, spring or summer recess, the Employer shall mail the posting(s) with the employee’s paycheck or pay stub. Therefore, the posting date shall be considered to be on the pay date it is mailed. Further, during these recess periods an employee may call in order to notify the Employer of his interest in applying for the vacant position if he is unable to personally sign the posting for the position. Employees also have the right to call the Employer, in order to obtain information about job vacancies.
