Common use of Interconnection Technical Standards Clause in Contracts

Interconnection Technical Standards. The interconnection of all networks will be based upon accepted industry/national guidelines for transmission standards and traffic blocking criteria. Interconnecting facilities shall conform, at a minimum, to the telecommunications industry standard of DS-1 pursuant to Telcordia Standard No. GR-NWT-00499. Where TWTC chooses to utilize Signaling System 7 Version: 4Q04 Standard ICA 06/15/05 signaling, also known as Common Channel Signaling (SS7), SS7 connectivity is required between the TWTC switch and the BellSouth Signaling Transfer Point (STP). BellSouth will provide SS7 signaling using Common Channel Signaling Access Capability in accordance with the technical specifications set forth in the BellSouth Guidelines to Technical Publication, GR-905-Core. Facilities of each Party shall provide the necessary on-hook, off-hook answer and disconnect supervision and shall provide calling number ID (Calling Party Number) when technically feasible.
