Interconnection System Reliability Impact Study Sample Clauses

The Interconnection System Reliability Impact Study clause establishes the requirement for a detailed analysis to assess how a proposed interconnection will affect the reliability of the existing electrical grid. This study typically involves evaluating the technical impacts of connecting new generation or transmission facilities, such as solar or wind farms, to the grid, considering factors like voltage stability, thermal loading, and system protection. By mandating this study, the clause ensures that new interconnections do not compromise grid reliability, thereby preventing outages or operational issues and supporting safe, reliable integration of new energy resources.
