Common use of Integrated Resource Plan Clause in Contracts

Integrated Resource Plan. To facilitate the development and implementation of the Program, MCC is supporting the development of the Malawi 2020 Integrated Resource Plan (“IRP”) to enhance the Government’s efforts to add generation. The objective of the IRP is to identify a prioritized list of generation resources that can help the Government and ESCOM meet the increasing demands for power in a manner that balances the objective of least or low cost power to users and diversification of energy sources, and to increase the impact of the Project. The expected outcome of the MCC-supported IRP or substitute strategic investment master plan approved by the Government and agreed to by MCC is to target and secure increased investments in the power system.
