Institutional Coordination. A contact person will be identified within each participating institution to manage the articulation and transfer process internally and to facilitate external communication.
Institutional Coordination. One important aspect of any future strategy is to achieve adequate coordination of interventions at the national, regional and local levels. The main challenge is to come up with conditionality and instruments to ensure that project resources are used in strict compliance with the terms of loan agreements, while at the same time meshing with the relevant public institutions and policies. A periodic evaluation and supervision mechanism is a prerequisite in this respect.
Institutional Coordination. (a) For purposes of the coordination of the Program activities between relevant stakeholders at a national level, the Borrower undertakes to establish a NSC including, inter alia, representatives of: (i) the MoA; (ii) the Ministry of Indigenous People’s Affairs; (iii) Ministry of Public Health; (iv) Ministry of Business; (v) Ministry of Natural Resources (MNR); (vi) the Office of Climate Change, Ministry of the Presidency; and (vii) the Ministry of Finance. The roles, responsibilities and composition of the NSC will be detailed in the POM and shall include, inter alia to: (i) provide institutional and technical support to the implementation of the Program activities; and (ii) coordinate field activities. (b) For purposes of the coordination of the Program activities between relevant stakeholders at a regional level, the Borrower undertakes to establish a Regional Management Committees (RMC) including, inter alia, the following representatives: (i) a regional chairman; (ii) a regional representative of the Ministry of Indigenous People’s Affairs; (iii) a regional representative of the MNR; (iv) a regional representative of each NAREI or GLDA; and (v) a regional representative of the Program targeted beneficiaries. The roles and responsibilities and composition of the RMC shall be detailed in the POM and shall include, inter alia to: (i) support the implementation of the Program at the Regional level; (ii) support the ASDU in the implementation of the AOP; and (iii) collaborate in coordinating with local and community leaders.
