INPD. Message flows‌ INPD has two mode of operation, proactive and reactive: • Proactive method: The ITS station router (MR or AR) periodically sends the unso- licited INPA messages containing the internal network prefix being used in its internal network. Upon reception of the INPA message, adjacent ITS stations (i.e., 1-IP-hop away neighbor routers) obtain the internal network prefix of the sender. It is similar to the case of sending unsolicited router advertisement messages defined in Neighbor Discovery Protocol.
