INNOVATIVE PROGRAMS. (a) Should the Board wish to start a new innovative program or should a vacancy in a current innovative program exist, the OPEA shall be notified. The notice shall include the purpose of the program, state certification requirements, North Central requirements, and special qualifications. After conferring with the OPEA, the position shall be posted as per the contract. (b) Innovative programs shall be reviewed every two (2) years for possible changes in the programs, special qualifications, and personnel. (c) It is understood that such innovative programs shall be equated with departments in all other sections of this Agreement but shall be applicable only to persons who serve in full-time positions within these programs. (d) It is further understood that any person who participates in such a program shall not lose his or her system-wide seniority.
