Common use of Initial Testing Clause in Contracts

Initial Testing. The Lessor shall 1) test for radon that portion of space planned for occupancy by the Government in ground contact or closest to the ground up to and including the second floor above grade (space on the third or higher floor above grade need not be measured); 2) report the results to the Contracting Officer upon award; and 3) promptly carry out a corrective action program for any radon concentration which equals or exceeds the EPA action level.
