Initial Term Borrowing Clause Samples

The Initial Term Borrowing clause defines the period during which a borrower is first allowed to access funds under a loan agreement. Typically, this clause specifies the start and end dates of the initial borrowing window, the maximum amount that can be drawn, and any conditions that must be met before funds are disbursed. For example, it may require the borrower to provide certain documentation or meet financial covenants before drawing down the loan. The core function of this clause is to establish clear parameters for the initial use of loan proceeds, ensuring both parties understand when and how the borrowing can commence and under what conditions.
