Incremental Date. It has been agreed that a standard incremental date be introduced. This standard date, for all Grades, will be 1 August commencing 1 August 2006. As a result of this, the date for the implementation of competitive promotions in 2006 and future years will be 1 August.
Incremental Date. If an incremental date is still applicable, it will remain the same as that of the previous higher level post. It means the appointment of the person on the advertised salary scale where both the minimum and maximum notches of the advertised scale are higher than that of the existing salary scale of the employee. In practise it means where a person is appointed in a post of which the job level does not overlaps with that of the employee’s existing post, e.g. T8 to T10. (a) Salary Scale and notch: The employee is appointed on the minimum notch of the said scale if the said minimum notch is higher than the existing top notch of the employee. No variable pay e.g. acting/overtime/standby/transport etc received in the existing post will be considered upon appointment in the new post. Qualification and experience requirements must at all times be adhered to. (b) Incremental date: The incremental date is adjusted to reflect the new appointment date.
Incremental Date. The incremental date will annually fall in the same month as the original appointment date.

Employees must have 6 month’s service in post prior to 1 August before receiving an increment i.e. have commenced in post prior to 1 February of the same year. Employees commencing in post after 1 February will be due their first increment on 1 August the following year. Employees who have reached the top of their pay scale will not receive further increments but will continue to receive the annual cost of living increase. As a result of this standard incremental date, the date for the implementation of competitive promotions in 2006 and future years will be 1 August.
Incremental Date. The annual incremental date for all employees covered by this Agreement shall be the 1st July of each year.
