Common use of Illumination Clause in Contracts

Illumination. 56.1 When any Work is performed at night or where daylight is shut off or obscured, Contractor shall, at its expense, provide artificial light sufficient to permit Work to be carried on efficiently, satisfactorily and safely, and to permit thorough inspection. During such time periods the access to the place of Work shall also be clearly illuminated. All wiring for electric light and power shall be installed and maintained in a first-class manner, securely fastened in place at all points, and shall be kept as far as possible from telephone wires, signal wires, and wires used for firing blasts.
