Honor Pledge Clause Samples
An Honor Pledge clause serves as a formal declaration by the parties, typically individuals, affirming their commitment to act with honesty and integrity in fulfilling the terms of an agreement or in completing a specific task, such as an academic assignment. This clause may require signatories to confirm that their work is original, that they have not engaged in prohibited conduct like plagiarism or cheating, and that they will uphold ethical standards throughout the process. Its core practical function is to promote accountability and trust, deterring dishonest behavior by making ethical expectations explicit and binding.
Honor Pledge. By becoming a member of the campus community, students agree to live by the standards of the honor code and thereby pledge the following: “I pledge to act with honesty, integrity, and civility in all matters.” Honor Pledge revised and adopted February 16, 2012.
