Higher Classification Rate. Employees assigned to work in a higher classification shall be paid for all hours worked in such higher classification at the rate applicable.
Higher Classification Rate. Any employee filling in at a higher paying position for more than seven (7) consecutive workdays, shall be paid at the higher rate for that period. Payment will be made retroactive to the first day with prior approval of their immediate supervisor. Any employee, filling in for an absent employee for more than seven (7) consecutive workdays, in addition to his/her own work duties should be reimbursed for the extra work involved for up to five (5) hours per week (with prior approval) at the rate of the absent person. Any hours in excess of these five (5) hours will be reimbursed with comp time.
