HAND LOADING. When aircraft requires hand loading, the contractor shall ensure the aircraft is loaded in accordance with FAA requirements. Aircraft may be solid loaded provided it complies with FAR 25.857(e). Under solid loading, a fire aisle is not required. The contractor shall provide sufficient quantities of tie down equipment, including separate tie down of heavy items such as engines or other types of cargo that must be secured separately.
