Gross Weight Clause Samples

The Gross Weight clause defines the total weight of goods, including their packaging and any containers, as recognized for shipping or contractual purposes. In practice, this clause specifies how the gross weight is determined and recorded, often requiring that the stated weight includes all materials used to prepare the goods for transport, such as pallets or crates. Its core function is to ensure clarity and consistency in logistics, pricing, and compliance with transportation regulations, thereby preventing disputes over shipping costs or legal responsibilities.
