GROSS RECEIPTS AND INCOME TAXES. The PROVIDER shall prior to the return of this Provider Agreement provide the DEPARTMENT proof of registration with the New Mexico Taxation and Revenue Department for the payment of gross receipts tax or proof of the grant of an exemption from payment of federal income tax pursuant to the Internal Revenue Code of 1954 [26 U.S.C. Section 501 (c) (3)]. Any payment of gross receipt tax shall be the obligation of the PROVIDER as appropriate.
