Grievance Procedure - Second Step. Should an employee not receive satisfaction from his supervisor in regard to a complaint made pursuant to Section 9.03 above, within seven (7) calendar days, the Chief ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ or Shop ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ shall meet with the Station Manager or his designee to attempt to adjust the grievance. Within seven (7) calendar days following this meeting, the Station Manager or his designee shall deliver to the Union his answer in writing.
Grievance Procedure - Second Step. Should the decision made at Step 1 be unsatisfactory the Union may appeal to the Company’s Regional Managing Director with a copy to the Human Resources Manager, within seven (7) calendar days. Within seven (7) calendar days, the Regional Managing Director and/or Human Resource Manager shall meet with the Chief ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ or his designee and General Chairperson to discuss the matter. The Regional Managing Director and/or Human Resource Manager shall deliver his/her answer in writing to the Union within ten (10) calendar days, following the meeting.

Should the employee consider that a just settlement has not been found, he may present the grievance to the Company's Regional Vice-President, Canada or his designee within fourteen (14) calendar days after the date of the decision rendered in the First Step. Within fourteen (14) calendar days, a meeting to discuss the grievance at Second Step shall be arranged between the Regional Vice-President, Canada or his designee and the General Chairperson, or his designee. Within fourteen (14) calendar days thereafter, the Regional Vice-President, Canada shall present the Company's final decision in writing to the Union.

Within three (3) working days thereafter or within such longer period as may be agreed, the Chief ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ and the full-time Union Representative shall meet with the Manager or his designee to attempt to adjust the grievance. Within five (5) days following this meeting, the Manager or his designee shall deliver to the Union his answer in writing.
Grievance Procedure - Second Step. Should the employee not receive satisfaction in the First Step the said written grievance may be presented by the Chief ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ to the appropriate supervisor with such further explanation or discussion as may be necessary, provided that it shall be presented within three (3) working days of receipt of the reply in the First Step. Within three (3) working days thereafter or within such longer period as may be agreed the said supervisor shall state their decision in writing on one copy (1) of the form and return the same to the Chief ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇.

If the grievance has not been settled at the First Step, it shall be appealed in writing within seven (7) calendar days after receipt of the First Step answer to the City Manager, or their designated representative, for a meeting between the City's grievance committee, consisting of the City Manager and/or their designated representatives, and three (3) members of the Union grievance committee. The business representative for the Union and/or the City's Labor Relations Counsel may be present at such meetings, and as a courtesy, a notice of such attendance will be given to the other party in advance of the meeting. Such meeting must be held no later than seven (7) calendar days from the time the appeal has been taken to this step, and the City must answer the grievance in writing within seven (7) calendar days after such meeting.

Within five (5) calendar days following this meeting, the Departmental Manager, or his designee, shall deliver to the Union his answer in writing.

If the grievance has not been settled at the First Step and it is to be appealed to the Second Step, it shall be appealed in writing with a general statement of why the First Step answer is being appealed, within five (5) regularly scheduled work days after receipt of the First Step answer to the employee's department head, or their designated representative. The department head and up to one other representative of the City shall meet with the aggrieved employee and a Union representative to discuss the grievance within five (5) regularly scheduled work days after receipt of the written Appeal. The department head shall give a written answer setting forth the general reasons for their decision to the aggrieved employee, with a copy to the Union within five (5) regularly scheduled work days after the meeting.

If the grievance is not settled in writing in the First Step and it is to be appealed to the Second Step, a member of the grievance committee shall present the grievance to the Transit Director within five (5) regularly scheduled working days after receipt of the City's First Step answer along with a statement of the reasons why the First Step answer was not acceptable. The department head shall give the Union representative a written answer to the grievance within five (5) regularly scheduled working days after receipt of the grievance.
