Greenbelts. A greenbelt buffer shall remain intact around the project, adjacent to city or state roadways. Greenbelts shall not necessarily screen the hotel from visibility, but will soften the view where needed. To the extent feasible, existing vegetation shall be maintained within greenbelt areas. A predominant use of native and adapted plant material shall be used for any required supplemental plantings in greenbelt areas. Plants used for such purpose shall be chosen for adaptability to glacial till and gravely soils. Extensive use of evergreen trees is likely to enhance the native character of the site. Selection of low water use plant material shall be considered to minimize water demand and impacts.
