GRANTING TENURE. 15.1‌‌ Notwithstanding the above, it is recognized that certain compelling situations may arise that would merit either truncating or extending the standard two-year tenure period. The Tenure Review Committee and Music Director may vote to modify the term of tenure review under the following conditions: - a unanimous vote will be required to truncate the standard two-year tenure period. - a majority vote, and the approval of the Music Director, will be required to extend the standard two-year tenure period to a limit of one additional year.
GRANTING TENURE. Nothing herein contained shall be construed to require the Board to grant tenure to any non-tenured teacher or secretary who would not have been granted tenure in the absence of this provision or to offer a new contract for a new school year to any non-tenured teacher or secretary who would not have been offered such a contract in the absence of this provision.
