Grade Step Clause Samples
The Grade Step clause defines the incremental levels or steps within a pay grade or salary band for employees. It typically outlines how employees can progress through these steps based on factors such as years of service, performance evaluations, or other criteria set by the employer. For example, an employee might move from Step 1 to Step 2 after completing a year of satisfactory service. This clause ensures a transparent and structured approach to salary progression, helping both employers and employees understand the pathway for compensation increases and reducing ambiguity in pay administration.
