Governing Law; Government Code Claim Compliance Clause Samples
The "Governing Law; Government Code Claim Compliance" clause establishes which jurisdiction's laws will apply to the interpretation and enforcement of the contract, and requires the parties to comply with specific government code procedures for making claims. In practice, this means that any disputes arising from the agreement will be resolved according to the laws of a designated state or locality, and that parties must follow statutory steps—such as filing a formal claim with a government agency—before pursuing litigation. This clause ensures legal clarity and procedural fairness by specifying the applicable legal framework and mandating adherence to government claim processes, thereby reducing uncertainty and potential procedural disputes.
