Common use of General Note Clause in Contracts

General Note. In the event that the Company creates a new classification, the Union and the Company will negotiate an appropriate rate of pay within thirty (30) days. Both parties may mutually agree to extend such period. In the event that there is no satisfactory resolve to the rate of pay the Company may fill such position but the final rate of pay shall be resolved during the next earliest session of collective bargaining or may be referred to binding arbitration for final resolution.
