Common use of General Knowledge Clause in Contracts

General Knowledge. The general skills and experience gained by Executive during Executive's employment or engagement by the Company, and information publicly available or generally known within the industries or trades in which the Company competes, is not considered Confidential Information. Following the Non-Competition Period (as defined in Section 5.9), Executive is not restricted from working with a person or entity which has independently developed information or materials similar to the Confidential Information, but in such a circumstance, Executive agrees not to disclose the fact that any similarity exists between the Confidential Information and the independently developed information and materials, and Executive understands that such similarity does not excuse Executive from the non-disclosure and other obligations in this Agreement.
