Common use of General Amendment Clause in Contracts

General Amendment. This Agreement may only be amended by a written document signed by the parties. Assignment: The Employee agrees and acknowledges that the Company may assign this Agreement to a related body corporate of the Company, or to an acquirer of the business of the Company upon notice to the Employee. Severability: If any provision of this Agreement is deemed invalid by a court of competent jurisdiction, the remainder of this Agreement shall remain enforceable. Counterparts: This Agreement may be executed in counterparts provided that no binding agreement shall be reached until the executed counterparts are exchanged. Entire Agreement: This Agreement constitutes the entire agreement between the parties and to the extent possible by law, supersedes all prior understandings, representations, arrangements and agreements between the parties regarding its subject matter. Jurisdiction: This Agreement will be interpreted in accordance with the laws in force in Western Australia. The parties irrevocably submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts situated in Western Australia. Legal advice: The Employee acknowledges that they have had a reasonable opportunity to obtain independent legal advice regarding the contents of this Agreement prior to entering into this Agreement and has either obtained that advice or elected not to obtain it. Flexible Working Arrangements: if eligible, the Employee may request flexible working arrangements. The Company may refuse a request on reasonable business grounds. Fair Work Information Statement: The Employee acknowledges receipt of the Fair Work Information Statement annexed to this Agreement marked “Annexure A”.
