Common use of Fixed Account Minimum Guaranteed Interest Rate Clause in Contracts

Fixed Account Minimum Guaranteed Interest Rate. The Fixed Account minimum guaranteed interest rate is shown on Contract Schedule I under Fixed Account Minimum Guaranteed Interest Rate. Each calendar year, we will set an annual minimum guaranteed interest rate which will apply to all amounts held in the Fixed Account during the calendar year. The one year minimum guaranteed interest rate will be established prior to each calendar year and will be made available to the Contract Holder or Participants, as applicable, in advance of the calendar year. We, at our discretion, may credit a higher interest rate, which is not guaranteed; we will make the current rate, and the period for which it will be credited, available to the Contract Holder or Participants, as applicable.
